Steamed White Wine Lemon Mussels & Charred Baguette

This recipe is SOOO EASY, and so good! And so light! And generally cheap! And truly the best part is dipping the baguette in the juice at the end. 4 of us ate this alongside ceviche, steak, and a salad. So save this one for when you’re feelin’ all surf ‘n turfy.

Ingredients:

  • Stick of Butter

  • Baguette

  • 1 Pound of Mussels

  • 1/2 Cup of Dry White Wine

  • 2 Lemons

  • Minced Garlic - 3 Cloves

Directions:

  • Add 3/4 of the stick of butter, white wine, juice of 2 lemons, and minced garlic to large pot. Once bubbling, add mussels, cover with lid, and turn to low. Steam the mussels for 5ish minutes or until the shells are wide open.

  • Butter your baguette and if you have a grill, put that baby over the fire and CHAR HER UP. But otherwise, you can totally appropriately burn it on a cast iron, too. :)

  • THAT’S IT! EAT UP!
